Hello and welcome! My name is Karolyn Sahoo and I'd like to thank you for visiting my page and taking the time to find out more about me and what I do.
I have lived in Happy Valley nearly 30 years and met my husband here. We now live in Boalsburg with our 6yo daughter and 3yo son.
Prior to becoming a mother, I worked as a Registered Nurse at Lewistown Hospital. As a nurse, I worked primarily in obstetrics and was cross trained in Labor and Delivery, Post Partum, and Newborn Nursery. My work experience in the hospital gave me valuable, hands on education withall aspects of pregnancy, birth, and newborn care. Women's and Children's Health has been passion of mine for many years and I continue to work with families outside of the hospital setting.
As a mother, I have over 60 months of breastfeeding experience and 5 years of cloth diapering experience. I have spent years researching a variety of parenting topics, especially those within the scope of Attachment Parenting. I am well versed on natural childbirth, breastfeeding, babywearing, cloth diapering, and all things (natural) parenting. I am currently using my experience to support new mothers and to help families through the decision making processes of pregnancy, birth, and parenting.
